Meet Mrs. Chauncy
My name is Meghan Chauncy and I am the Dyslexia Therapist at Bradfield Elementary. This is my sixth year as an educator, my third year in HPISD, and my first year at Bradfield. I graduated from Texas Christian University (Go Frogs!) with a strong appreciation for tenacity, a bachelor’s degree in education, and for good measure, a masters degree in special education. I completed my Certified Academic Language Therapist (CALT) training at MCA-MTT, and I am a CALT and a Licensed Dyslexia Therapist (LDT) in the state of Texas.
I must admit, it wasn’t an easy journey to becoming an educator. I was diagnosed with Dyslexia in 5th grade and have worked my entire life, with the help of amazing teachers, to not just overcome it but thrive with it. Now I look to do the same for others in my role here at Bradfield Elementary. I am committed to ensuring that every child who crosses my path leaves better and more confident in their learning abilities.
