Meet the Teacher

It is my passion to help others thrive, and it is my privilege to spend my days with your children as they are learning, growing and discovering. The 2024-2025 school year will be my seventh year teaching 4th grade and I absolutely love this grade and age!

I graduated from Davidson College in North Carolina for my undergraduate studies, and then enjoyed a wonderful career on Capitol Hill in Washington, DC and with Wachovia Securities in Charlotte, NC. I then spent ten years at home raising my children where I developed a true love for education. Through volunteering at my children’s school, I realized that I have a true passion for education and helping children learn about the world around them. Therefore, I decided to get my Master’s Degree in Education Curriculum and Instruction and officially entered education as a profession. I taught 4th grade for four years at Condit Elementary in Houston’s Bellaire community, and then joined the Bradfield community in 2022.

My family and I moved to Dallas in 2022 from Houston when my husband, Carey, accepted the role as Director of Music, the Arts and Traditional Worship at Highland Park UMC. My daughter, Caroline, will be a Senior at HPHS and is a Captain of the volleyball team. My son, Duncan, will be a Sophomore at HPHS and is a member of the tennis team. Our family loves to be outside, especially hiking and everything near the water.
