Meet the Teacher

It is my passion to help others thrive, and it is my privilege to spend my days with your children as they are learning, growing and discovering. The 2023-2024 school year will be my sixth year teaching 4th grade and I absolutely love this grade and age!

I graduated from Davidson College in North Carolina for my undergraduate studies, and then enjoyed a wonderful career on Capitol Hill in Washington, DC and with Wachovia Securities in Charlotte, NC. I then spent ten years at home raising my own children where I developed a true love for education. Through volunteering at my children’s school, I realized that I have a true passion for education and helping children learn about the world around them. Therefore, I decided to get my Master’s Degree in Education Curriculum and Instruction and officially entered education as a profession. I taught 4th grade for four years at Condit Elementary in Houston’s Bellaire community, and then joined the Bradfield community last year.

My family and I moved to Dallas last summer from Houston as my husband, Carey, accepted the role as Director of Music, the Arts and Traditional Worship at Highland Park UMC. My daughter, Caroline, will be a Junior at HPHS and is enjoying playing on the volleyball team there. My son, Duncan, will be a Freshman at HPHS and plays tennis. Our family loves to be outside, especially hiking and everything near the water.
