Dear Bradfield Families,

Welcome to Bradfield’s 2017-2018 school year.  I am honored to serve as this year’s PTA President.  This is an exciting new year as we welcome our new principal, Mrs. Regina Dumar.  I cannot wait for our Bradfield families to show Mrs. Dumar what a wonderful place Bradfield is.

The mission of the PTA is partner with the Bradfield teachers and administrators to maintain Bradfield’s tradition of excellence.  Part of fulfilling that mission is fundraising for the school.

Why does the PTA need to raise money?

Highland Park Independent School District gives more than 70% of our tax dollars to the state of Texas every year.  This means for every additional $1 the school needs, the District must raise taxes by $3.33.  A more efficient way to raise funds is through donations where we can keep all of the funds at Bradfield.  In order to maintain the caliber of education in our district, the PTA helps bridge the gap.

How do we spend the money?

Last year the PTA and Dads Club gifted over $700,000 to Bradfield. Educational excellence is an investment. The PTA funds ongoing expenses like:

  • Teaching assistants to help students one on one
  • Passport to Spanish program
  • Classroom libraries
  • Teacher continuing education and Masters programs
  • Paper, toner, and copier leases
  • Science supplies
  • Buses for field trips
  • Computers, tablets and software

How can I help?

Please consider Bradfield in your charitable giving. This is a direct investment in your child’s daily educational experience. You have an opportunity to make a difference in our school. Support our fundraisers and attend events.

For the past 90 years, our parent involvement has been one of the greatest factors in Bradfield’s excellence. Programs like Adventure Dash Fun Run (our fall student fundraiser), the Fall Carnival and the Bradfield Benefit (our largest fundraising event), combined with generous donations from the Dads Club to support special projects, ensure that our students continue to be inspired and have the resources and tools they need.

The easiest way to support Bradfield is through Family Giving during Back to School Sign-Up (August 10-18).  Below, you will find details of our Family Giving program.  Through Family Giving, you can support the PTA programs throughout the year with one single donation.

Whether it is through Family Giving, Adventure Dash, the Carnival or the Benefit, we thank you for your generous support.  Help maintain our tradition of excellence by donating this year.
